The Charlie Daniels Band will help Macy’s celebrate July 4th with a new version of “My Home”.
The song will be played and set on fireworks during the 38th annual Brooklyn Bridge Fireworks display in New York City.
“It’s an honor to be part of the celebration of the birthday of Earth’s Greatest Nation and an honor to be chosen to record this patriotic song which will be choreographed with one of the most popular fireworks. more spectacular than our country will see this year, âsays Daniels.
‘My Home’ was written by Emmy-winning team Doug Katsaros and William Schermerhorn.
âAs the song was written for the fireworks sheet music, we knew it had to be performed by an iconic American band capable of putting this country back on its feet,â Schermerhorn said. “It was exciting to see Charlie and his band take this song and make it their own. And nothing could add to our fireworks party like the sound of Charlie Daniels’ violin!”
The fireworks display will feature more than 40,000 shells and pyrotechnics, which will be fired from three barges on the lower East River, as well as from the Brooklyn Bridge. More than 3 million people are expected to attend the event live, with millions more on television.
