Halsey explained that their label, Capitol Records, told them the song would not be released until they could “fake” a “viral TikTok moment” to promote it.

Turns out Halsey explaining the situation was enough to go viral — and spark a chain of other musicians who revealed they were live the same.

After outrage from fans online and nearly 9 million views on Halsey’s TikTok, Capitol Records agreed to release the song on June 9.

“@halsey we love you and are here to support you. We are committed to releasing ‘So Good’ on June 9, 2022,” the label wrote on Twitter.

In the tweet, the label also added that it is an “artist first” company that “encourages open dialogue” and has “nothing but a desire to help” their artists to succeed.

While some fans may debate the content of the label’s message, Halsey just seems thrilled to finally share the song with the world.

“If you have the internet, you’ve probably heard that I’ve been trying to release this song for a long time. And I’m so glad you can finally hear it. So Good, song June 9 and video (directed by @zoneaydin) the next day,” Halsey wrote.

Netizens can’t wait to hear the song, Halsey!
