Migos, QC record label digs deeper into sports management arena

Quality Control Music has led the hip-hop game for the past five years with people like the Migos, Lil Baby, City Girls and Lil Yachty establishing themselves as household names and successful stars. With Cardi B joining the all-star team with a recent management deal, label executives, Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “P” Thomas, have extended their empire to sports management.

The executive duo launched QC Sports earlier this year and just unveiled their new QC Sports basketball division. They hired veteran agent Derrick Powell as the global basketball manager for the operation. Powell has over 22 years of experience in the NBA, negotiation and agency and one of his first accomplishments at QC Sports was successfully negotiating the extension of the centre’s five-year, $ 100 million contract. veteran Jarrett Allen with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In June, P and Coach K entered the NFL representational arena when they acquired Terra Firma Sports Management, the agency operated by certified NFL agent Brad Cicala.
