Why I created a label, by Okedara | The Guardian Nigeria News



Chippy Record Label Music Director and General Manager Ezekiel Okedara, better known as Toye, gave the reasons for establishing his record company.

The serial entrepreneur made this known recently in an interactive media session, when he spoke about his trip to the entertainment space. He said, “As a person who enjoys playing musical instruments, I have found love in music and entertainment. I also believe so much in talents.

He added: “The journey has not been easy; there have been ups and downs but we are learning every day. Thank God, so far it has been amazing to watch the label and the artist grow. “

According to Toye, a native of Ogun State, the label was founded on August 1, 2020, and currently Dagizah has signed on the label.

The 25-year-old managing director, alluding to his decision to support the industry’s future musical artists, said: “I have always admired courageous and talented young artists from the start. I discovered pure talent in the artist of the current label, so I decided to support him.

On what his label considers before signing an upcoming act, he listed humility, loyalty and good character among the criteria they seek.

He further noted that his label is open to signing up to more talented musicians if they possess the qualities listed above.

The music lover, businessman and now director of music studied elementary education at the Federal College of Education, Osiele, where he obtained a National Certificate in Education (NCE).
