ayn Malik was fired by his record company because he feared he smoked cannabis, it has been learned.
RCA Records – an American label owned by Sony Music Entertainment – has dropped out of the former One Direction star over concerns about his lifestyle choices.
It comes after the 28-year-old was accused of harassing his ex Gigi Hadid and mother Yolanda after an alleged altercation at his Pennsylvania home.
A source told The Sun: “A lot of people have desperately tried to get Zayn’s life and career back on track, but nothing has worked.

The US showbiz website TMZ claimed that Yolanda, 57, was “strongly considering” filing a complaint with the police after an incident last week.

Court documents indicate that Malik pushed Yolanda into a dresser and also referred to her as “f ****** Dutch sl **”.
Malik firmly denied any physical contact.
In a statement to TMZ, he said: “I categorically deny hitting Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give further details and I hope Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and make efforts to resolve these family issues in private. “
Gigi and Malik share a one-year-old daughter, Khai. The model was said to have been in Paris during the incident, but court documents indicate that he called her and said, “Tie up balls of f ****** and defend your partner against your f ** **** mother in my house.
He also tried to fight a security guard at his house, yelling at him to “get out of my house, fuck”.
Malik will face 90 days probation for each charge and must complete an anger management course and domestic violence program.
He was also prohibited from speaking to Yolanda or the security guard during his 360-day probation.
Malik, 28, addressed the incident in a social media post asking for confidentiality.
He said: “As you all know I am a private person and I really want to create a safe and private place for my daughter to grow up.
“A place where private family matters are not thrown onto the world stage for all to search and separate them. In an effort to protect this space for her, I agreed not to dispute any claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner who entered our house while my partner was away. absent several weeks ago.
Apparently implying that he and Gigi had separated, Malik added that he wanted to “co-parent my daughter in a way she deserves”.

Yolanda, a Dutch-American television personality and former model best known as a star on the American reality TV show The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, has not publicly discussed the incident.
Yolanda is also the mother of models Bella, 25, and Anwar, 22, who is boyfriend to pop star Dua Lipa.
She was married to property developer Mohamed Hadid, 72.
Gigi previously told Harper’s Bazaar that Malik and his mother got along well.
She said, “He’s usually on my mom’s side,” adding, “So he’s smart in that sense.”
Malik, who previously dated Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, launched a solo career after leaving One Direction in 2015.
His most recent album, January’s Nobody Is Listening, peaked at No. 17 on the UK Albums Chart.
